FAQ

Common questions about buying and caring for a piano.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver pianos outside Harrogate? expand_more
Yes — we offer free delivery within 30 miles of our Montpellier Parade showroom, covering York, Ripon, Knaresborough, Skipton, and surrounding North Yorkshire.
What warranty do new pianos include? expand_more
All new pianos sold at Keys & Co include a 5-year warranty, backed by our status as an authorised Yamaha and Kawai dealer.
How much does piano tuning cost? expand_more
Standard tuning is £85 per visit. Pianos that have not been tuned for several years may need a pitch raise — we quote any additional work before proceeding.
Do you offer piano lessons? expand_more
No — we focus on piano sales, part exchange, and tuning. We are happy to recommend local teachers once you have chosen your instrument.
Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom? expand_more
Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. We recommend booking ahead if you want extended time in our private viewing rooms — especially on weekends.
Can I part exchange my old piano? expand_more
Yes. James will assess your piano's condition and brand and apply trade-in credit toward a new or pre-owned purchase from Keys & Co.
Do you sell digital or silent pianos? expand_more
We specialise in acoustic pianos — new Yamaha and Kawai, plus restored vintage English models. We do not currently stock digital or silent systems.
How do you prepare pre-owned pianos? expand_more
Every pre-owned piano is inspected and prepared by James — our qualified technician — including action, strings, tuning stability, and cabinet condition before sale.
